Focus Open Silver for Green Design
Sustainable product development is more urgent than ever. For many years, we have been dedicated to design concepts that create long-lasting products. Under the label Green Design, we integrate sustainability and circularity from the initial idea through to the packaging. The Design Center Baden-Württemberg has recognised our latest tool innovation with the Focus Open 2025 Silver Award. Our modular, circular paint roller system has received the international design prize in the Circular Design category.

Recyclable Monomaterials, Stable Construction

Durable tool instead of disposable product: with the new paint roller system, we have redefined the paint roller. Our design concept relies on high-quality mono-materials – such as FSC®-certified wood, stainless steel and recyclates – combined with a stable, modular construction. The high-quality roller is easy to clean, long-lasting and yet replaceable. After the service life of the entire tool, all components can be separated and returned to the material cycle. This encourages users to clean the tool after work and reuse it again and again. The system thus becomes a sustainable tool for long-term, responsible use – a benefit both for consumers and for the environment.
